Creativity and Design Blog SynthesisBefore I registered for this course, I already knew that I was having issues with creativity and looked forward to developing mine. I had no idea how difficult this process would prove to be. Creating the blogs was very difficult for me because I had not used a blog before or posted pictures and videos anywhere, and I really struggled with some of these elements. This was extremely frustrating, but I think I now know how to create and update a blog! Still not sure about video posting – a work in progress. The other frustrating issue was that I could not think of creative projects. It wasn’t that I couldn’t come up with ideas, but that I was rejecting them all as having already been solved. The “Zig Zag” book and other materials gave great tips on how to go creatively from conception to prototype. Some of the tips that resounded with me were: not all problems have already been solved, and if they currently look solved, there are still other solutions to discover; keep my eyes open for ways to be creative; think outside the box and take lots of photos. This is not something that I usually do, and I want to become a good photographer, understanding the camera on my phone and taking pictures that spark my creativity. I am going to use the Summer break to work on improving my skills with my phone’s camera, and to look for creative ways of using the pictures I take. Now, if only I would keep the phone in my hand 24/7, I might be able to catch those great moments! Alas, I am not addicted to it – yet… Here are a couple of photos that I took during my morning workout... It's a start!
